Ancient Minis from Greek Mythology

Like London buses, after a six month hiatus I’m posting my second blog entry of this weekend. Today it’s three monsters from Greek mythology – a harpy, Medusa, and the Lernaean Hydra. All of them Citadel Miniatures in the original lead, so I’m not sure whether the myths or the minis are more ancient.

Night Horrors

This week I finished off six Citadel Night Horrors.  They join six more that I finished a couple of weeks ago but haven’t previously posted.  It’s a short post, but for an unusually productive 12 minis.  I hope they’ll speak for themselves.

Undead update

Undead Legion

My shameful lead mountain is looking particularly insurmountable right now.  On Thursday I received my minis from the first Greenskin Wars Kickstarter (they’re excellent), and on Friday I bought a load of old Citadel Night Horrors via eBay auction.  They’re a pretty collectible range, and ‘buy it now’ prices are generally ridiculous – the final auction costs were about 25% of the normal list price, so well worth bidding.  Luckily, for the first time in a while I also had no plans this weekend, so I’ve been able to make some small progress with painting and modelling.
